Peter Kimble, a Revolutionary War soldier, had a brother William who was ten years his junior. Peter served in Col. Mark Thompson's First Regiment (Sussex County, New Jersey Militia) in 1776. He was in the Battle of Brandywine on September 11, 1777 and the battle of Germantown, Pennsylvania on October 4, 1777. He may have had one other brother in America also. He and Eve moved from Sussex County, New Jersey to Bucks County, Pennsylvania. After Eve's death Peter made his home with their son, Jacob. Before his death Peter became blind. Both Peter and Eve are buried in the Buckley cemetery, 8 miles from Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
