Comments: Update of a previous posting: Looking for parents of Martha "Patty" Kimble who was born 27 April 1797 in New Jersey. Recent discoveries lead me to think Sussex county.
Martha married 15 March 1816, in Chili, Monroe co., NY, to Eber Franklin, and they lived out their lives in Leon, Cattaraugus, New York. Eber served in the War of 1812, alongside Nathan Kimble, who was born abt 1792-5 in NJ, and died in Adrian, Seneca co, Ohio in 1881.
Nathan married Mary Ann Bogart in Seneca County, Ohio in 1827, and they lived mostly in Carey, Wyandot County, Ohio. Several of their children moved to van Buren County, Michigan.
Martha had a sister, Hannah, who was born in 1804 in Genesee co., NY, and married Daniel Harris Pomeroy in Geauga co., OH. They later lived in Elba, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
The parents of Martha, Hannah, and Nathan are both born in New Jersey, according to census information given by both Nathan and Hannah.
There is a John Kimble in Riga, Monroe County, NY in 1810 who may be the father of these three and others (8 children in 1810 in Riga). Seeking to identify this John Kimble.

So I believe Martha (Franklin) must be somehow related to these, but have no primary source evidences. Martha had a sister, Hannah, who was born in 1801 in Genesee co., NY, and married Daniel Harris Pomeroy in Geauga co., OH. Other leads are a Caleb Kimble residing in Riga, NY in 1820's (adjacent to Chili), and Isaac, William and Abigail Kimble in Chili in 1850. I also found a Moses Kimble in Dayton, New York, and am curious about a Moses and other Kimbles in Canajoharie, Montgomery co., NY in 1790. Most of these are Kimble names which have links to Sussex county, New Jersey. Any further leads appreciated. Thanks. -Terry

However, according to a genealogy found on a World Family Tree CD (WFT Volume 3), David's father (identified in that history as only "Kimble") was born 1754-1783 in DUMFERNMLINE, FIFE CO., SCOTLAND?, and may have between 1808-1868 (I presume somewhere in the US).
Lack of information on David S. Kimble's parents as well as David's own exact birthplace in New York have been a frustrating roadblock in our family research.
My family descends from David and Rachel's son, Bernard Dewitt Kimble.

Comments: Have been searching for the father of a George Kimble b 1814 in New Jersey (probably Northampton, almost definately Burlington Co.). Or, perhaps, info on a Vespatian Kimble not born but living around the same time (may even be this George's father or an uncle).
