Comments:   I am looking for information about my paternal grandfather whose name was Grover Cleveland Kimble. He was born in Arkansas Sept 4, 1887 died June 4th 1924 in Wise county Texas. He married Myrtle Pink Brown, and they had 2 daughters Ann Mae & Lula Pearl and my father, Willie O'Dell Kimble Jan 3, 1920. Grover's father, was reported to be 1/2 Sioux Indian, and never stayed in one place for too long. His wife , married a Patterson shortly after Grover's father died & they settled in Amarillo Texas. I wish I had talked to my Grandmother way back when.... I just didn't think about it. Now Dad's almost 80, and he tells me all that he remembers. He does remember his grandma having some sort of accent. Any long lost cousins out there? Cherio,

Comments: Looking for ANY INFORMATION regarding Henry Anson Kimble would like to ask if you have ever heard of this family or ties to this family. All the children of Henry and Elaline were born in/around Ithaca, NY (which could have been part of Seneca County or Cayoga County back then)

Henry Anson Kimble (born in 1810 in New Jersey?)
married Elaline VanVlack

Children
---------------
10 Jul 1832 Albert Kimble
       1833 Jeremiah Kimble
16 Dec 1844 Sarah Kimble
01 Aug 1849 Avorice Kimble
08 Oct 1851 Mary Kimble
They moved to Raymond, Iowa (very close to Waterloo) after 1851 because Mary was also born in Ithaca, NY. Looks to me like most of them died there also. Many of them were buried in Poyner Township Graveyard. I have seen the grave sites.

I have foggy information that Henry's father was George and that possibly George died in 1840 in New Jersey, but anything regarding George I do not know whether to believe or not.

Do any of these names ring any bells with you ? I would love to tie Henry Anson Kimble to any other siblings or parents. My genealogy comes to a dead stop with him. Please let me know if any of this ties into any information of yours.

Thank you,
Laura Kimble Ackermann
