Comments: Hi Judy! Thanks for a great site! In the past two days, I have discovered the name STRUBLE on my family tree and a FTM search led me to your site. I am related through Susan Struble (1788 - 1870); I believe she married Willaim Roe and had a daughter who married Samuel Gunn. I'm working with local history/biographies from NW New Jersey and a woman I recently discovered on line who is involved with an annual Gunn family reunion held in Hallstead, Susquehanna Co., PA. Would be interested in hearing more about your source for this information on Susan Struble, and also if you have any other info about her husband and descendants. Thanks again!

Comments: Hello Folks,
We were trying to search a little into our families history, and we know that one of our grandfathers was born in Tazewell County, His name was John Riley Collins born in 1844, and was the son or Isham Collins. Stories we have are that Isham may have swam a river regularly to visit his girl friend, and also that the family moved from this area around the time of the civil war... One other story is that we are related to the Hatfields through marriage. When the family left this area they settled in the St. Cloud Minnesota, and from there to the Canadian Prairies in Southern Saskatchewan. One other bit of information that might be of use is that John Riley Collins wife's last name was Hall, we would appreciate any information that you might have that would help us in our family search...
Thanks for your attention in this matter....

Comments: Hello,
I am researching the MCMICKLE family line.
I have traced back to a John & Martha MCMICKLE in Surry County, North Carolina.
A John MCMICHAEL shows on the 1771 & 1772 tax lists.
A John MCMICKLE purchases 300 acres in 1780.
A John MCMICKLE shows on the 1782 tax list.
I believe they are the same person.
I have not been able to find where John MCMICKLE/MCMICHAEL came from.
I came across an article stating the 6 MCMICKLE brothers fought on the
Brittish side of the Revolution, but changed the American side. I have not
been able to verify this information.
If anyone has any information, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Valerie A. McMickle

through his son John who married Mary RARICK. I would be interested in hearing
from you, if you have any info on John and Mary's descendants. I just found
some info this last weekend which makes me believe I have a mistake in my line
after John & Mary. My g-g grandfather was John C. COUSE. I assumed (WRONG
thing to do) that John C. was John & Mary's son, John, Jr. Now I find that this
is not so. So, if you have any other info or ideas, I would LOVE to hear about
it.
